Wierd *** problem has me stumped...
If the rpms are below 2000 and then i get on the gas half throttle or more, the car shakes and there is a hint of a clatter to match it until the rpms go over about 2500. and if i have it in 5th and just coasting at 30 mph (idle) and then hit the gas it does the same thing but the clatters are much more louder and more violent of a shake until the rpms get over 2500 . Also another problem that this might be related to is, when i am in neutral at a stop, there is the same sound and clatter and it is coming from the bellhousing!!!!! AND... when i take off in first there is a (not a grinding) sound but almost a howling sound, like bad brakes on a trailer. i "think" that that might be the contacts points on the TO bearing/fork have gone dry......
Im thinking clutch related, just dont know what it is, ball stud perhaps? i have honestly no idea
Inoticed this **** happening about two weeks ago, just replaced the knock sensor ( origionally on the 5.0 Liter).
Help me out...
Thanks
Kevin

Could you repeat all that but slower???
Maybe a problem with the clutch. You don't have a Center Force on there do you? Is there any slipping? If you got a howling from the TB then that is your excuse to get in there and inspect. A bad pilot bearing will make a squeel also.

na its a zoom multifriction. no slippage.
and the shop that did the install, went out of business two weeks after i got it done...
and the howling is only on take offs where i give more than necessary throttle and let the clutch out a little quicker.
the clatter on idle in neutral is worrying me,
could they all be one problem?

That is exactly what my Ducati's dry multi disc clutch does. Before I got used to it, it would howl with too much throttle or stutter with not enough and letting the clutch out fast and being dry multi plates it make a rattle at idle until the clutch is pulled in or there is power going through it. But I have 7 +/- friction disc with seporator plates in between. And Desmodronics. Do you have springless valves???
Just checking.
Just checking.
The howl at take off may be the choice of clutch material. The zoom is Kevlar isn't it? Does it clatter with the pedal depressed? That may be too much space between the friction disc and flywheel.
ok its gotten serious now. not so much the shaking but the clatter has gotten seriously loud. i only hear it at idle and its almost a grinding sound but its mostly chatter/clatter HELP ME PLEASE!!!!
