Default Why no flat towing allowed ?

The owners manual for a '15 SS stick says "No flat towing" but I'm wondering why. No one said that towing My Miata was OK but I have over thirty thousand miles towing with no problems. I did disable the steering wheel lock. Before that car it was a Toyota MR 2 with the same story and over 100k miles towed. Why can't we tow a Camaro? Bob

Because the clustershaft is not turning throwing up oil lubricating the main shaft bearing(s).

I know they make driveshaft-disconnect devices, would that work? Thanks for the welcome, Bob

Some owners are very conscious about their vehicle being a towing truck driver of towing roadside assistance nyc, I have seen a lot of cases where owners of there vehicle do not compromise in minor things. and Everett can be right also.
