Hey all, im new to camaro's and thinking about buying one in the near future. Hopefully a 98-02 SS model, and i was just wondering what general issues i should watch out for when im shopping for the car. Like in the engine, tranny, clutch, or just whatever might be messed up that the owner is trying to hide

 

Basically, look it over as you would any other used car. These cars are very reliable if not abused. I would keep away from one that was modded, as chanches are that the owner pushed the car hard.

 

Ya, i was hoping to find one stock with around 50-60k miles on it for around 15k or so. But a good buy is a hard to find up here in michigan. Every good looking car is at least a couple hours drive [:'(]

 

Get on auto trader on line and search a radius of 300 miles. Don't be afraid to travel for a good deal. You should be able to buy one in that price range.

 

Ya, if i thought i had a good car lined up id drive to wherever. I have one quick question, ive read that the ram air hoods on the SS doesnt really do anything for the horse(but i like it for looks anyway) but is the T-A ws6 ram air the same way?

 

Any forced ram air helps a little and the faster You're going the more it helps.
