One word of advice. Don't let the Tool trucks talk you into getting everything...

Go threw the dealership, talk with the guys who have been there awhile and find out what they really use all the time. Also check with management and see how much specialty tools they provide. Some dealers have everything, some hang it all on the tech to buy or borrow.

Lock your box every night, things dissapear. Don't let guys in the dealer harp on you if you don't have the biggest box in the shop. I've seen tool wars get silly where guys try to show off with buying the top dollar everything.

One more thing. What is the pay type. Flat Rape, Salary, Hourly, Team system or a combo of those three in some way? That will make a difference on what you'll want to have.

You'll be in good shape then. With hourly the stress level will be down. Also, the guys who are veterans of how things roll at the dealer will be easier to deal with if they are also hourly. You won't have guys fighting over the gravy work and giving the **** to the new guy.

Best of luck, how big of a dealer is it?

There is one tool that I highly recommend that everyone working on cars should get. It has saved me time and work many time. It is called a Roto Ratchet and is made by SK. It was originally designed for aircraft work, but works even better on cars.

[hr]

Part Number: 3870
SK 3/8 inch Drive Professional Roto Ratchet

u can get those "roto" ratchets from almost any tool truck anymore, also you can get them in 1/4'

the new ecotech engines have a certain size (( 22mm i think so dont quote me[&:] )) that removes the plastic cover that holds the oil filter on top of the engine... my suggestion is make sure you have one
