So if a 47 yr old bought a new camaro

Yes, you are definetely losing it. No one should buy a Camaro if aged 45-55. Myself, being of stable mind and sound body, waited till I was over 55 before buying another Camaro. Then pepole figured that I was just a crazy old man. lol

You won't know your true "midlife" until after you're dead. If you only live to be 80, then your midlife was 7 years ago. So for all you know, you may have already passed it by. Me, I just got older but never grew up.

I sold my beloved 74 in 1990 and my 1982 camaro in 1991. I owned both of them when I got married in 1988. Once I made enough money to afford a family and camaro I got my 67 . The wife called it my mid life crisis car. Can you call it that if you never stoped wanting one? I think a lot of the "mid life crisis" crap is just the fact something snaps in our heads that says I don't have to drive a Corsica anymore or settle for a Monte.
But sadly yes the women in your life will call it a mid life crisis car even though you are well past the mid point of your life. Jeese I thought I was old.
