im looking to rebuild my lt-1 that is in my 95 z28, the motor has 152k on it. For starters i would like to make a bit more power out of it and i have a $650 budget for the kit (unless convinced otherwise). Im thinking that i would like to do the internals before i do anything else (heads, headers, etc) just due to the fact that the motor has alot of miles on it.

i have looked on summit racing for kits and found ALOT of kits and i have no idea where to start. i will be doing the work myself (with some help of course).

Here are a couple of kits that cought my eye, will these be good for what i want to do? will i have to buy other stuff that dosnt come with the kit? will the stock heads be ok with these? The second kit is really what i would like to do....
