I know they both have the 5.7.... but is there really that big of a difference in performance and power? isnt the SS mostly body modifications and whatnot?

or does the SS really have alot of SLP mods and is quite faster?

Power wise the SS is rated more, but 1/4 mile times are quite close. The ram induction on the SS is only effective at very high speeds, a CAI on the z28 will give pretty much the same results.
Internally both engines are the same.

 

Exactly for the most part the SS and WS6 cars are an apperance package, the ratings don't mean anything. They did get get different sway bars and shocks as well as 17' wheels.
