Default Plug wires

I dont know if it would make much difference but the part stores I have looked online do call for different plug wires. I have a 68 Camaro with a 77 chevy 350, it appears to have the original distributer with the Crane xr-i kit inside. So when I go to the part store do I ask for wires for the 68 327 or the 77 350. Stupid question probably but I wasnt raised to work on cars and learning as I go! :P

So even if the distributor was from a 68 camaro 327 but the motor is a 77 350 using the plugs that go with the 77 350 when I go the part store I should ask for wires that went to the 68 camaro with a 327? Just want to clarify as getting parts for this car is never in one trip it seems. I had to get a starter for it when I first bought it and the starter that fit it wasnt even listed under the 68camaro or the 77 truck heh.

Use the wires for the 68 327 as they have to fit the distributor cap, the plug ends are all the same. Use plugs for the 77 350 because they have to fit the heads and have the right heat range for the 77 350

Good point didnt even think about that, there is a definite difference from the 77 cap to the 68 cap.
