Default Pinned oil pressure

about a week ago i was at the track and had a nitrous backfire when it occured my oil pressure pinned and it doesnt go back down i havnt replaced the intake manifold yet to be able to start it back up to see if it will stay pinned while its running i just thought i would ask if its normal after a badass backfire like that for the oil pressure to pin. or maybe its just stays where its at so you kno what happened when it shutdown.. or maybe its sumthing else im not sure at this point does anyone know anything about this? thanks

Don't see why a backfire would max out the oil pressure. Verify the pressure with a mechanical test gage.

you may be shorting out the oil pressure sending unit. you may have broken the wire when the back fire occured.

If I remember right, the sending unit is down near the oil filter.

kkk well to anyone that has this same question.. the oil pressure switch is right behind the intake manifold. and its a tall piece of plastic with metal base that screws into the block so when it backfired the backfire blew the thing back toward the firewall and broke it clean off so i didnt even notice until i went searching for wires that were randomly hanging behind the manifold. like the vaccum sensor wire. just an fyi
