Default Not a Camaro but still a Chevy!!

What's up guys? Ok here is the question. I just purchased a 2001 Monte Carlo SS (My step daughter just recently totalled our 04 Monte) and the previous owner putafter marketwheels on the car. Now if anyone owns a newer Monte then you know that they car will let you know when the tire presure is low but that is not the problem. The previous owner did not hook the sensor back up when he installed the new wheels. Anyone know to hook this sensor back up? It's getting real annoying to hear the warning sound every time I start up the car. Any help would be great!!

If it's anything like the 97+ Corvettes, which I'm assuming it is, it's actually the physical valve stem that you have to replace because that's what has the sensor in it.

Ijust bought an 07 monte SS and one of the wheels had the same problem, so i just took it to bell tire, and they fixed it, it was annoying tho, with the warning at startup so i know what you mean.

I work for GM, the sensors are part of the valve stem. The only way I am aware of stopping the chime is to put new sensors in and do a learn sequence. Call you local Chevy dealer and ask them if they can program it not to recoginze the sensors.

i think you have to get a specific wheel.. i know my dad is running into that problem with his vette atm. same with his funflat sensors
