Hello all,
I have an '01 3.8. manual tranny. When I turn the key to the on position the gauges come on as normal. When I turn to the start position it's dead. I jumped the starter and the engine starts and runs for about 5 seconds and shuts down. I would appreciate any help with diagnosing this problem.

 

are you getting a security light? sure sounds like vats is acting up. try cleaning the key (little *****) and spray some electrical cleaner in the key hole.

this is for a lt1 so im not sure its good for your yr. check the ignition fuse, well lol, check all of em.
