hey everyone i just bought a 92 rs and a hose sort of think is broken... it goes from the air cleaner 2 the headers. wat is this for? and is it a big deal the car is running perfect without it thanx 4 all the info....

That is probably a heat riser hose that feeds hot air to engine during warm up. If that is what I think it is, you can run without it, except you may have thorottle body icing problems during cold humid days.

It wouldn't happen to be flexible, about 9 to 12 inches long. Coming off the snout, or long end of the air cleaner and traveling down to the exhaust manifolds...

If so, it is a "heat riser". When the car is first started it allows warmer air to travel up and into the engine for a stable or more stable idle for the paticular settings a car may have at running temp. Not a really big deal to have on the car if your in a controlled climate but in very cold weather it is nice to have. It won't affect running performance but just allows for a better cold idle and tip in throttle until the engine is properly warmed up.
