Default Need Help Guys.. bad.

Ok.. here's the problem.. My CD player used to cut out for no reason, on its own at random times.. So, i figured it was a short in the harness.. I took it out the other day to check for shorts and found none, then I put it back in and it hasnt worked since then. I figured I might've forgotten to plug it up, so i took it out again today and noticed one of the wires wasnt connected.. (The yellow constant 12v wire) I went to grab it and it touched the CD player and sparked a little.. I figured no big deal, but when i reconnected everything I wasnt getting any power to the wiring harness of the CD player. I checked the fuse and it was fine, didnt blow or anything.. So, I just said screw it and put everything back in. Then I noticed my trip meter and odometer wasnt working right. Its a 97, so its the digital one. It lights up, but dimly, and it doesnt show any numbers. The only thing I can figure was that there was a break somewhere up the wiring harness somewhere, but would that affect my odometer/trip?? This really sucks..

It sounds like you still may have a blown fuse or fusible link somewhere. Try checking all your fuses.
