Default need help on adjusting valves

I just installed a set of crane roller rockers and now I hear a slight ticking sound. When I first cranked the motor, it ran but had a miss on the driver side. After spending an hour, I found the exhaust valve on no.3 adjusted a 1/4 turn tighter than all the rest on that side, so apparently the valve was staying open a little.A compression tester also proved the same thing, only making 20 psi. then falling right back off to nothing. After starting back up, it ran perfect, or so it seemed. I may have been so relieved that it ran that I overlooked the next problem. Today, I heard what sounded like the same loud ticking I first heard when it had the miss but now it is very faint and sounds like it's on both sides. It seems to run fine and all the poly locks are the same hight in the adj. nuts, so I guess my question is how can I be sure my valves arn't barely cracked open. I know someone out there knows what to do, you are all smart gearheads so any thoughts would help.

Slight ticking is common with roller rockers, but you also get slight ticking from the fuel injectors. It is a good idea to readjust the rockers after they have been running for a while.
