Default monte carlo

Ok 1st the car,,, i have a 95 monte carlo z34 it has a 3.4 dohc with 111xxx on it auto...it is all stock that i know of, the only thing i have done is took the stock air filter and box out and put a cone k&N air filter over the maf. now that woke the car up, it had a tune up and trans flush about 11,xxx miles ago and i have cleaned out the TB a few times, i took a trip from here to reno about 950miles and i was only getting between 17-23 miles per gallon and these where on cruise control 98% of the time,, speed was between 75-80 non stop for 300-350 miles... now my question is that seems low for a stock v6 on the highway does anyone have any ideals to help the mpgs if not from what i have seen and read i could get better mpgs in a stock v6 camaro. goal im looking for is just in the mid 20's or better,, i dont think thats to much to ask for is it. anything u might know may help thanks

Default RE: monte carlo

Things to consider. Less power needs more pedal to make it move. Final drive ratio. With 2:77 in my 91 Camaro 305 I got 22 mpg with an automatic and spirited driving in 3rd and 4th gear. There there is always stuff like the state of tune and properly inflated tires......
