Default Kumho Ecsta Tires-Any Experience or Feedback?

Has anybody had any experience with the Kumho Ecsta tires? I'm looking for tires for my 92 Vette. But I need something that would work in case I get caught in light to medium snow, so pure performance tires are out. I've had Michelin Pilot Sport tires before, and they did pretty well in snow, but that was on a front wheel drive car. The tread design between the Kumho and Pilot are similar, which is why I am comparing them. Here's a flebay link to the Kumho's, and yes, they are damn big tires!

I had those tires once on my Mustang. And got caught in the snow. Started out light, then medium, and then heavy snow. Never once it wasn't til the heavy snow that the car started to slide on it's own. I was able to keep it under my control the whole time though. That snow was just the beginning of what ended up being the worst road trip ever. On dry roads the tires did well. Scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 8.5-9.

I have some on the Subaru, but to be fair, it hasn't been out much (just once to get gas and for me to find leaks etc.) and the tires are pretty worn down...but uh...they look like they'd be ok!
