mayb one of ya smart guys might know this i have a pretty big cam in my lt1 and when i dynoed it i was told i should go with an lt 4 knock sen.. so i did i don't think its doing much better cause in my power band reaching about 6000rpm i think it is retarding my timming in the 4500 to 5800 range. has anyone got any ideals about having the knock sen cut out of the comp or do ya think i wil have more problems then its worth....

Leave the KS in, it is keeping yourpistons in one piece. The LT4 KS module is less sensitive to extraneous noises than the LT1 module, but is pretty accurate on picking up real knocks. If the timing is being brought back it means that there is too much spark advance for the fuel or compression you are using. You may have a carboned up combustion chamber, too hot spark plugs range, orbearings that are worn out.Try some higher octane fuel first.
