joe gibbs cam oil???
where can i buy some?
they seem to only sell 12qts online and i dont want to pay for all of that.

we are putting in a new stock cam and new lifters in a 305tbi in a truck and we want proper break in.
I have heard that even the rotella-t doesnt have enough zinc.

Depends if you have flat or roller lifters. Roller lifters only require some assembly lube and make sure there is oil flowing. Flat lifter cams require more care, and old lifters cannot be reused. Besides a good coating of assembly lube and prelubing the engine, the usual thing is to run the engine at around 2500 RPM for about 30 minutes to get the cam and lifters mated. Camshaft break in oil is available, and Comp Cams sells it by the quart. Check with Jegs or Summit.

i have new flat lifters
a bulletin was sent out to my machine shop telling us to use an oil with a high level of zinc.
joe gibbs oil has a high level of zinc but im sure the comp cam stuff is good too.
i will check jegs and summit today. thank you for the reply
