Humming noise in car wile driving
I get the same from the rear end on the 67. When I sawpped the brakes, I had to open the rear diff, 40 year old oil makes one hell of a racket, and it doesnt get quiter by replacing it. At least not after that long. I agree that you should check the rear diff.

What makes you think its not the tires? it would be the most comon cause for a hum in a low mileage car. Since the car is so low miles the tires could be old but not worn. These tires would be **** to thread seperation and all other kind of age related issues.
changed the rear end fluid and filled her back up with royal purple 75w-90 and the sound didnt change, friend said it could be that the tires are feathred or in a rare case the input bearing for the transmission
