bluoval is correct in that a complete rear with posi is probably the cheapest and easiest way to get more grip. avoid like the plague the gov lok ( small set of fly weights on the open side of carrier).

black z if only one side is spinning most likely the poor gent has no form of posi or locker in his car, engine size wont matter kurt

It matters in the sense that if the car had v6most of those cars came (99 44/100%)without RPO G80 limited slip. So it was a answer for his one peel wonder. If people want to change gear ratios and add limited slipwiththe highcost so be it. Butbe aware of the problems with some of these swaps by people with little or no knowledge on the subject. Just saying swap it out should not be the answerby people that should know better.

[&:] black z the limited info i have for the 2000 model shows around twenty five thousand base model (v6) with no less than three thousand three hundred having the rpo Y87 that included a limited slip. this is a wee bit better than 66/100 of one percent you indicate. my resource doesnt list rpo G80 for this year but if it was available then the number would most likely be even higher.

i mention the complete rear swap as this is far easier and cheaper for most starting wrenchers than swapping in just the differential( properly setting up a differential will give even experienced mechanics fits on occasion) kurt
