Default High RPM miss

I started having a miss in the high RPMs. I replaced the cap and rotor on the opti spark. When I put it back together it had atleast one dead cylonder. I started to tear it down I pulled the heads no problem there the block and rotating assembly are per fect. I took the fuel rails off and found trash in the injectors could that have been my miss?

if you have trash in your injectors that almost allways causes problems, check your fuel filter as well, injectors should be clean.

high RPMs within the factory rev limiter. The injectors did have trash in them I haven't taken the filter off but I think it is the factory filter. So I'm thinking it may be corodied on the i nside.

if your injectors are dirty, and it being factory, you for sure need to get a new fuel filter, and thats probly your problem, did you test your fuel pressure at WOT and normal accel?

No I didn't check the fuel pressure I thought it was the opti. So I tore down the front of the motor at a friends shop and replaced the cap and rotor ,but it took a while when I put it back together the dead cylider(s) started. I only had real trouble at full throttle before. The opti had signs of miss firing and wear I guess the the injectors where cloging when I tore into it it set for about a month with me only working on my car when someone was in the shop. I think either the trash in the injectors settled or the opti was firing so much better it was starved for fuel, but I didn't drive the car enough after replacing the opti to show signs of running lean. Will the stuff inside the housing of the opti itself go bad and cause these problems?
