high engine running temps

i checked with autozone, they had a 4 core aluminum for about $125 with a lifetime warrenty. its the same my brother runs in his 350 silverado, and he can idle with a.c on and it wont go over 210. should i go with a 4 core, or get a 2 core (or 3 core if its made)

how much would scale buld up cause a problem? there is quite a bit on the portion near the filler, so im figuring maybe a lot of the rad might be blocked off?

i wired up the fan to a switch yesterday, and tested it all today. it works much better when im in control. isnt that the way things always are?

i got it road tested with only the air dam in there. ran consistently around 190 with about 50 degrees as the ambient temp (may have been warmer). the only time it got above 220 is when i was hosin off the rear tires. i installed the rest of the plastics today, in the rain, and i will be able to find out how they work sometime this week
