Default HEADERS GLOWING

400SB,750V.S. HOLLEY,CAM INSTALLED STRAIGHT UP. HEADERS ARE GLOWING, BRIGHTER GLOW WITH MORE RPM.DEJETTED CARB THINKING TOO RICH.LESSENED GLOW, BUT STILL THERE. THANKS FOR THE HELP

Hmmmmmmm ... You May Have Your Valves To Tight. Maybe Not. Worth Checking Tho. Also Too Much Air Makes Your Motor Run Hotter. Sick

Double check the ignition timing. I had the same problem when I built my motor. Worked for me.

This may or may not apply, but, I have a case uniloader(a skidsteer bucket loader). and the motor was just rebuilt as we were testing it the other night, I noticed the exhaust was gloing red hot from manifold all the way to the tailpipe. and it did'nt have much power when you loaded it up. in our case it was too lean. We adjusted the mix a bit more rich and the glow went away and now it runs great.
