can anyone please tell me if you can just order a ring and pinion and swap it to lower your gears or if you need a whole new rearend?

 

You just need the ring and pinion plus the installation kit. The ring & pinion need to be for the axle you have. Be aware that this is not just bolt on job, the proper tools are needed and the gears have to be precisely adjusted.

 

thank you. the tech school im at has everything and does everything labor charge free. would you recomend the gear change?i have around 800 i was planning on slp cold air amercian thunder exh and the gear swap to 373

 

also do you no what kind of rear end would be in a 1996 3800 camaro?
