my cousin has a 2000 z28 and put on a new overlay and in order to do that he had to take off the needles, he bought it over today and his gauges weren't working so he took it to the chevy dealer in town but they said theyll have to do some work with it cause the gauges didn't sweep, he was wondering if anyone else put a new overlay and had problems with the gauges not working and if they got um fixed and worked

 

if the electronics are ok the gages should work even if the needles are on wrong. they would show wrong reading but should work. i put mine on without taking the needles off. very carefully.
