gauge problem lol...
ok, i got this new gauge face thign, so i took it all apart and installed it today.. welll heres teh dealioo
i had to pop the pins off to put it on, i poped them back on ,i was ignorant and figured my car is smart enuff to just bounce them back to where they aughta be... well... i put the gauge cluster back and plugged it back in and none of the gauges move when i turn the key on... i reckin i flucked it =/ any suggestions?

you didnt mess it up. on my 98 malibu, got the white gauges for it poped off the pins and did the same thing. LET CAR COOL DOWN. remember where the pins were..... plug in the cluster with out the glass on, then WITH OUT THE CAR STARTED but acc postion so gauges work, put the rpm, spedo and temp to zero.(where they should be when off)all you have to worry about is the fuel now.

i tried all that and my gauges still dont work.. they move a tiny bit but none of them work, the only one that actually moved was the fuel.. and that just went further down than zero

needle or no needle. when the car is turned on the lil metal pin still moves where the computer tells it to.
the fuel is mecanical gauge i thing so put the needle to where ever it was before. now the spedo and rpm and temp(when cold) should be at the very bottom prong when at rest. so take the needles off turn the car to acc put the needles at the bottom and start the car up.did my bu just like that and it was fine.
all eletronic cluster though.
