Default Fuel Delivery

454 Big Block, competition cam extreme energy hyd. roller cam 288I/294E split duration with .541 lift, oval port heads, 10.5:1 compression ratio, edelbrock performer square bore carb., 750 cfm and performer manifold. Guy I bought it from said he had the Holley blue electric pump replaced because it was too loud. Current pump only puts out about 4 psi and much less than 100 gallons and hour. Car starts and runs good from a stop but stalls and stumbles. I probably should go back to a Holley electric pump or something similar with at least 7 psi./ 100 gallon an hour output. Before I do this does anyone have any further thoughts?? Thanks!!

Default RE: Fuel Delivery

I think a Holley blue will run that car just fine, you will need a pressure regulator though and at least 3/8 inch line if you want to do it right. The reality is that motor is not very radical and would probably be fine with a mechanical fuel pump.
