Few Questions, would like some help.
Ok , sorry If I am posting this in the wrong area.
I just got a 1992 Camaro Rs v8.
Now I am starting to go over the enige and not knowing much about how they work, if it its working right is taking me some time.... So bare with on my novice questions please.
I am going to be replacing the easy quick things, air filter, spark plugs, oil. in the next few days. But I as I don't know diddly about engines, I am not really sure where the spark plugs are. I would really like some help on that.
ok, next question.... It takes a second or two to start. Now I have never owned a v8 before and I am not sure if that is normal. Or if the spark plugs are dying or the starting is dying. I would really like to know.
Ok, my last question.. Is there a limiter on the 1992 Camaro Rs? I would like to know.
Thats pretty much it. Rest of the car is running great for now. So time to save money for the interior work that needs to be done.

If you really don't even know where the spark plugs are you may want to get a friend that knows a little about cars to help you out with this.
That way you can learn a little about it without screwing anything up.
I'd also suggest you buy a repair manual and do some reading.
Just my 2cts.

first u will need the right tools. read up and find a bud to help like y2k says. u have a great resorse in the net also. there is probly more than one video of how to change plugs somewhere. spark plugs are under the exhaust manifolds on each side the motor.
yeah, I just invested in some nice car jacks so I can actually do work on the car. Gonna go hunt down the spark plugs tomarrow.
I have a decent amount of tools. not some of the car specific ones, but I don't think I will be dealing with pressure and stuff for a little awhile I hope.
Bought the manual It really assumes you know a basic understanding of stuff. "like changing spark plugs" thats why I had to ask. Next step is to figure out how to get more horsepower out of the engine.

This site will help you out a lot: http://www.thirdgen.org/
There is probably an article on there for general maintenance stuff including spark plugs.
