You hot rodders in the Midwest have access to the stuff, if you did any comparisons tests with straight gasoline let us know. Here in the East all we get is the 10% stuff.

E85 can only be used in a flex fuel car. It eats the seals in a standard fuel system and, I heard, requires slightly different engine fuel management. As with biodiesel I have seen damaged fuel systems caused by using fuel that the system was not designed to run.

I think it would be a pain in a non flex fuel computerized engine but I dont think it would be that big of a deal in a drag car setup, it is 105 to 110 octane and is the same cost per gallon as unleaded, I dont think the ethynol is as corrosive as methynol and it is present at a lower percentage in a lot of the gasoline at the present. As far as the diesel fuel goes I hear alot of people complaining about the reformulated diesel fuel coming on line in 2007 diesel owners will not have a choice but to run the new stuff or biodiesel so I am told.
