Default clunking bumping noise under floorboard

i have a 1995 camaro 6 speed. when i am running at about 2k rpm's and rev it to about 4k, then right when i let off the gas and let it slow down by itself, it clunks pretty bad. also, when i put it in reverse, the same noise is coming from the underneath. me and my dad may think its a loose transmission mount, allowing the tranny to bang against something. we also think it may be a u-joint, but we're leaning more towards the tranny mount. any help? thanks in advance

John

edit: this noise occurs when letting the clutch out slowly in reverse, but when its idleing and going solidly in reverse it doesnt do it.

Put in a new transmission mount and torque arm bushing, and check the engine mounts while you are under the car.
