chrome trim on back glass 79 camaro

Default chrome trim on back glass 79 camaro

I have found the tool (jiggler)..Im not real sure on how it works,any ideas??
Im trying to remove the bottom chrome trim on the back glass so I can remove the sheetmetal piece that between the trunk and back glass.
Any help would be appreciated

Pretty simple. Lay the tool flat on the glass. Work it in under the trim til it butts up against metal. slide it along til the little point of the tool hits a clip. You need to turn that tool so that it pulls the clip away from the inside of the trim to release it. Sometimes they pop right up. If the first clip gives you a real hard time and your afraid you are going to damage the trim move to another clip. Once you get the first one the next one is usually easier. Good Luck.

Thanks for the help,I made a tool.There were a couple that were stubburn.

But you got it off of there right? Was that piece you were trying to remove rusted or are you trying to get at the tension rods underneath it?

I had alittle rust under the sheetmetal piece and I needed to get to the screws under the trim.I did get it off.I will post a picture here later of the car.
