I changed my wires one at a time.. First I changed the drivers side and it ran kinda crappy. Then I drove it in the garage and jacked it up to get to the drivers side rear two plug boots and changed them and now the car wont fire!! Any ideas as to why changing wires would mess somthing up? This is my DD and now I have no vechicle!!

I would try putting the old wires back on to see what happens. If it runs, take those new wires back and get another brand. What wires did you use? El-cheapo, brand X?

The old Taylor wires that where on there are junk. Almost all the boots were arcing and had to be replaced. I do have the idk nylon? sleeves over my plugs. I guess I will just have to order a set from summit since the auto store around here(only one) only carries ac delco wires I believe. O and some of the wires have a strait boot fitting and I couldnt use them because of my headers..no clearance.

Nope I got the coil wire on there... I am going to just start from scratch and reconnect the wires in the firing order. What do you guys think of the summit racing wires? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

Personally I would probably take the A/C Delco wires over the generic Summit brand.

Ok.. what wires would you recommend that have all 90 degree boots? I cant use the strait boot wires because the headers are in the way.

I am with pete, something somewhere is disconnected. I cant see the new wires, even if they are in the wrong order, not firing at all. How do you know there is no spark?

The car has spark... You guys are going to laugh at me but I got in over my head! When I changed the wires I also messed with the rocker arms on my drivers side. I was installing new rockers and I am having a hell of a time adjusting them. The engine sounds like it is sluggish when turning over like I have the rockers way too tight. So then I loosened the rockers until the point where they could fall off and still wont fire.

eeesh. Alright. Uhh. SO, the car has spark, it runs but dies...did this happen before or after the rocker issue? You might just need to put it all back togehter and start over. I have found that sometimes (with these older engines - your 89 350) they are finicky. and if you put too many new things at one time it goes kapuut. So I would change the wires, then start it, run for a while, park and then change the rockers.... kind of test it between upgrades. But first.... did your car run but die before or after the rocker change?
