carburetor replacement

Default carburetor replacement

ok im lookin at a 85 t/a for sale that needs a rebuilt carb, its a computer controled one, could i run a non computer controlled one on it ? would there be any problems ?

[&:] you certainly could but it means removing/not using the computer controls for the whole engine/trans engine(will need an older hei as well) with these two it should work. might consider removal of the cats for later use and to avoid destruction if mixtures are not right at first. also at least here in the states this would all be a big no no for a street driven/ emissions tested vehicle. will not pass a standard visual and emissions check if required in your area kurt
