Default car wont start in the cold !!

I have a 86 2.8

Its been having trouble starting for a couple of days now, but it started after a few cranks, didnt idle good for like 2 min, but after it was perfect. Today however, its not starting at all. It snowed today, and its so cold, so it might have something to do with it.

It cranks over, but doesnt start at all. About 2 times, it almost started, like very very rough idle, but then dies imeadtailty after.

Could this be because of the cold, or other reasons, and how can i fec/prevent this probeblm ??
thanks

ok well, try to knock out the least expensive things first. like for instence, buy new spark plugs, and maybe even a new coil. if it doesnt start easy after that, try an oil and oil filter change. if those still dont do it, then there may be some timing problems and something a little worse. im sure its not something too bad though.

Where are you located at? Sometimes my 1994 starts a little hard, and sort of idles a bit funny fror a few minutes until it warms up a little bit.

My wife's 1997 Saturn SC1 will crank, and then not start. Then, I have to turn the key off, and then start it again. I think it's something with the fuel pump. Saturn had a recall or a TSB on this, but upon bringing it in, they said the fuel pump was fine.

Try plugs/wires, ignition, or some other parts as was suggested by another member.
