Default A/C question...

Ive got a 92 3.1, just converted to 134a and I put in a remanufactured compressor. Not realizing there was a pressure switch on the old compressor I turned back in for the core charge. Does anyone know what color pressure switch is needed on the compressor? I asked at the auto part store and they said there are a few different colors and white is the only one they carried. But it required a new wire plug. So i used the white one and changed out the plug, ran great, freezing cold air for a few weeks then i had to replace the belt tensioner and belt, did that, started the car, turned the a/c on and BAM! Blew out something in the back of the compressor. So i was wondering if that was the right pressure switch????

Thanks

Find out Who the manufacturer of the compressor and get on their website, that should help You. I had the same problem on a '91 pickup.
