Default A/C Problems

I have a 97 Camaro 3.8L V6. My A/C used to switch from the face to blowing on the floor when I would accelerate or down shift and now it is doing it all of the time and will only blow on the floor board. I was thinking it must be some kind of vacum problem since it only did it when I accelerated but I have no idea. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a bunch of vacuum valves tht work the air doors in the AC plenum. You need to get under the dasboard and look for vacuum leaks, broken hoses, broken valves, stuck air doors, micenest, etc.

isi normal for the A/C to cut out when you accel? When I accel fast and the A/C is blowing it doesn't blow as hard, but once I stop accelerating it goes back 2 normal

Thanks for the help.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

If so what did it end up being?

The PCM will turn off the compressor at WOT in order to give all power to the wheels.

Its not turning off though its switching to the floor vents. Still blows at the same speed and blows cold but it just blows on the floor board.

Does your car have a ported vacumn switch under the hood? I know my third gen does. I have the same prob and when I changed that it fixed it.
