Default Braking noise

i'm not the smartest guy when it comes to cars so i hope you all can help with this one. my brakes work perfectly fine but every time i step on them half way they make an annoying squeaky sound. it's really not a big problem, the damn sound just bugs the hell out of me, and everyone else around i'm sure...do i have any options besides slamming on them all the time or getting new brakes???

they are called squealer tabs and they are letting you know it's time to change brake pads. wait much longer and it will be new rotors as well. Sick

Time to get new brakes !!!!!!!! That is your warning sound to let you know that it is time.

Make sure that the pads are waring evenly. It could be caused by a sticking caliper or bad brake pad backing could be all out of wack. But most likely it is just the brake tabs.

I'm having a grinding sound when I'm hitting the brakes as soon as they are applied. I was wondering if it is my rotors wearing out, brake pads with no meat on them, or a sticking caliper? The other week, my rear brakes would be the only ones kickin in and locking as soon as the pedal was toutched. That went away after 5 applications of the brakes. Any Ideas?

I would have to believe that you should check how much pad you have left. It sounds like you have worn the inboard pad down to the steel backing.
