Default BIG PROBLEM PLEASE HELP

i just got back from iraq about a week ago and found my 2001 camaro ss to be running quite rough, and sometimes wouldnt start because of the security light... which would eventually go off and the car would start. I figured i needed a major tune up but before i could take care of that the car now is pretty screwed. the last time i drove it the check engine light came on, so i parked it and said no more it needs to be looked at. NOWit wont start at all...the onlything i get is thecheck engine lightwhich prevents anything from turning over it doesnt even make an attempt. battery is fine...it ran every 2 weeks when i was gone, but might have been romped on. Please help im stationed in germany and mechanics here are ****asses. thanks a ton!!!!!!

My car has been having the same problem with the security light.. I don't know what that is. Check youPCM BATfuse and the PCM IGN fuse inside thepassenger compartment.

Have not run into that problem on any 4th gens nor on any 3rd gens as well. But on a 3rd gen the security will cut off the starter relay and fuel. I have seen where there was some thing built into the plastic end of keys before for the security feature. Are you using the original key? If your Check Engine light came on can you see if there is a code stored in the history?
