I have an 2002 Z28 and I noticed that it does not have the ASR switch, but when I removed the trim I noticed that there is a wire harness connected. Does this mean that I if I buy and plug in the ASR switch that I will have the function of ASR?????

 

[&:] usually wiring harnesses were similar or the same for any given production run and were not specific for each vehicle. probably have connectors for several of the options but the associated parts or controllers were not installed unless that option was ordered. this is my guess for your situation. it is possible that the last owner changed switch panels or something else and didnt want to control the asr function. you can check the rpo codes in the glove box and this will tell you if your vehicle even has asr. i dont know the code for asr specificly but look on the web under rpo codes for your year kurt
