Default Another Problem Car Wont Start?

Here we go again. I have a 95 Z28 6 speed and my car will not start. This might be my fault but I could use some suggestions. My car started fine 2 days ago. I just partially pulled the wiring harness to clean up the horrible wiring job that the previous owner did while installing the rebuilt motor. I removed the top part including the injector wires. I disconnected the negative battery terminal and the PCM and let it sit for a day. When I turn the ignition, I hear the fuel pump working and it cranks fine but it will not fire up. The security light lights up but goes off. There is a red wire near the left injectors that was connected somewhere near the alternator and I cannot figure out where it goes? I do not think that it is the optispark or a fuel pump. Any suggestions would be helpful.

That is what you get for fixing things that aint broke. lol Check the 2 fuel injection fuses as you may have shorted things out and blwn one of them.

LOL. This was a must. I had wires and connections that were twisted together and wrapped with electrical tape. Also, there are a series of 4 wires that are connected to a white wiring harness near the left fuel injectors (passenger side fuel injectors), it has a longer connection at the end. I just thought about it this morning. This might somehow go to the ignition system. I will go outside and check it out. LOL. I tried to finish last night when it was dark and it was very easy to overlook something. My main problem is that there is no ac and no heat so there are a lot of extra wires hanging around. Thanks

Extra wires that aren't plugged into anything and you're wondering why it won't start...

Good luck with it, check out shbox.com if you need some wiring diagrams. Maybe you should work on cars when it's light out from now on eh? [8D]

You should probably stick to either this topic or the new one you just made for this question so you get all the discussion in one place. Do you want your answers here or in your new post, because we can't have duplicate topics, sorry man.

I'm not going to delete the whole thread, just that post, I just don't want differing opinions wandering around in two topics, that's when stuff gets messy...

There we go, fixed
