I was lookin over different styles of air cleaners because I just want somthing different for every other standard air filter out there and I came across this...



I was just wondering... how do these work?
Do they allow better airflow?
How do they attach to the carb?

Ect ect ect...

Its a washable wide open foam filter.You will get all the cfm your carb will take. There is a stud with a lock nut and it replaces the stud on your carb then the base bolts to it. I have a brand new one still in the box I will sell you.

 

How much? Does it have the foam insert?

 

Yes it has the foam filter,but no don't get it. I have one and the foam falls apart easy and falls into the carb. The only reason I have one is hood clearance. it crushes when I close the hood, stupid big block. get the K&N or the holley version , I think it's blue. .........Oh yeah, I've only had the filter for 4 months if that helps to how long the filter lasts.

Oops sorry..........um, yeah...the one madmike has is made with a special filter that seems to add 20 to 30 hp, combine that with one of Z28pete's gutted cats and your lookin at a 300 hp gain. Hope that helps out.

 

id buy it and look into a no toil filter element, and custom fit one from a motorcycle. those things last for years through dirt and such, just gotta make sure you wash and oil it
