I have a problem with my car. its a 98 camaro z28 with the police package...wheni start it...it doesnt idle right it revs up and then the car shuts off...ive had a full tune up..which didnt fix it...and then i had my mechanic replace the PCV hose...which didnt fix it...it actually wont start at all now...but when it would start i could rev it and keep it at about 1,000rpm and after a min it would idle fine..and drive awesome the rest of the day..but if i let it sit for more then 6-8 hours it wouldnt start right...like wheni get home overnight it wont start in themorning...i think its a fuel problem becuase now that its colder i cant even idle it by reving it just shuts off

 

does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key for 3 seconds????

 

Ahh, sounds like my problem. Does your key have the PASS key chip in it? My problem was that, changed out the ignition cylinder and that fixed the issue.
