97 3.8L auto/6cyl. air in fuel???
heres the problem my vehicle is turning on but after a small drive i park and turn off the car , it wont turn back on .someone told me that i have air in my fuel and all i have to do is wait for he air to escape . it works. Another symptom is when im driveing and i push the gas it stutters and the rpm drop a little.
how do i solve this problem.or what is actually happening im clueless and i think it might be something to do with the fuel!!!

I assume you mean that the starter turns engine turns over but it won't start. Theengine is fuel injected and the fuel is under pressure all the way from the gas tank, so air in the fuel (vapor lock is highly unprobable). Is the CEL lite lit?
Hey same thing is hapening to me currently and i pinned it down to the vacuum line. Check to see that they are all still intact and not rotten because most of my lassembly was rotten, it might also be the vacuum switch or sensor (i forget what its called) by da way do you get the check engine light? this could help you diagnose the problem, a good way to test to see if its your vacuum line is to wait for the SES light to come on and then tighten all the cables and make sure there all the way in turn the car on and see if it goes away, in my case it always does but comes back if i drive over about 4rpm then it buckles like a bull ride, after this your best bet is to replace all the wholse assembly which cost mt about $50 at the dealer because napa nor kragens has it.
i figured out what it was, a censor needed to be replaced two of them actually . i forget hat they are called but it had to do with the air intake.mass/ map censor i think .
thanks for the help
