94 Z28- Washed my engine, now it wont start
I have an 94 Z28, I know, I know..... But I did it , I sprayed engine cleaner all over my motor. I followed all the instructions. Hosed it off. Started it up. After that it would not start!!!!
Is it the Opti Spark? I hope not, what can I check for first before going and replacing parts?
A while back I had a similar problem with my 97 v6 camaro and my friend came in with a blow dryer and he dried some stuff and got it to start (and no I didnt wash that one) but I know this is a different engine and possibly not as easy to fix?? I really need help.

Well I tried to today and got it to turn on, I turned it off and I couldn't get it back on, Should I have left it on for a while? I think my battery is dying. Any Ideas what it might be still, could it still be the optispark?

Well.. My Car Works!! Ahh Im so happy now lol. So this is what happened, I called my friend who knows more than me about cars, so he starts checking basic things one night, he couldnt figure it out so we try again the next morning with more light. Again, he starts checking the hoses and electrical components. Then he starts pulling off the spark plug cables, when he was about to pull the ignition cable off, it basically broke apart.. He was like, this old cable might be the problem, so we go and buy a new set of cables, give the car a jump start, and Vroom! My LT1 is alive again.. There was also like this white rust stuff on there so he cleaned it off and it even turns on faster now! I dont see what that had to do with me weting the engine but ok, Im glad it wasn't the opti spark, I really didnt have the time nor $ for that much work right now. 5 Days without your car can make you go crazy.. Phew.. but anyways, thanks to those who tried to help me out.
and yes I know, lesson learned, never again
