'91 Camaro Z28 for a 05 Hyundai Tiburon?
Hey Camaro Buds,
I got a a dilemma on my hands here and I'm thinking some dudes here can help me out. I don't want a hard time, because I truly do love my Camaro and I think it ROCKS, but hear me out.
I got this guy Donny tellin me to keep the car, but I'm like thinking I'm not sure if I wanna ditch it yet. It's hard to admit, but certain angles of that new Hyundai Tiburon ROCKS. I'm thinking I might trade it in straight up for my old camaro. You might be thinking no f*'in way, but hear me out. Here's the down low:
- The Tiburon might not ROCK as hard as the Camaro, but I've just been down in the dumps with my current car and young chicks don't dig it anymore. Some of them do, but they aren't as smokin' as they used to be.
- I went over to the Hyundai place just to scope out some of the new Tiburon rides and the salesman made me an offer that's sure f*'ing hard to refuse. He told me I could trade in straight up for a used '05 Tiburon with 40K miles.
Here are the plusses of the trade in:
- Tiburon is newer, and bright yellow which will turn MORE than a few heads.
- Tiburon's engine is very powerful for its weight. 2.7L 175hp and it only weighs 2900 lbs.
- You might be thinking "the power to weight ratio sucks on the Tiburon". You'd be WAY OFF! If you knew anything about Newton and his forces, you'd know that Drag is so much more important on a vehicles performance. Using a new method, Hyundai was able to calculate that the Tiburon actually has a better weight to power ratio due to the sleek and aerodynamic design of the new Tiburon.
- If you take into account Drag, plus the fact that it is SUPER easy to take off the restrictor plates on a Tiburon...the thing would barely be street legal. I'm pretty sure no insurance company in my town would cover a car that fast.
Now, I don't want to spout off here about the Tiburon. Don't get me wrong man, I love my current camaro. But we're talking a 14 year jump in used cars straight up...no cash down. What dude can pass that sh*tt up?
I don't know...I'm thinkin Donny can shove it and I'm getting a new Tiburon. Donny doesn't make a dime anyway.
I just wanted to know if any other Camaro lovers agree with me. It kills me to get rid of my Camaro...but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
My Current Camaro:
1991 CAMARO Z28 Convertible
Exterior Color: White with Hot Pink Racing Stickers and Black Top
Engine: V8
Transmission: Automatic
Interior Color: Black
Body Style: Convertible
Mileage: 89K

my buddy's got a tiberon, who ever told you about the power to weight thing, and aerodynamics is an idiot, they are slow, they do however have an upgraded motor package that is DECENT, just make sure that your not doing it to impress young chicks, because a tiberon will not get you chicks. the only reason i can see your car not picking up the chicks is the ugly *** pink stickers on your car.
ok now that i have that off my chest i can be truthful, the tiburon is worth a hell of a lot more than your camaro, get the tiburon, sell it and you could afford another camaro probly better than your current, and have plenty of money left over for another car, or mod's to the new one. BUT BEWARE check for frame damage and get a carfax report, tiburons are fragile, i have seen too many of them get hit at slow speed's and total'd the car.

o god i just saw it was yellow, you do know that dealers practically give yellow cars away because of their "PULL ME OVER" appeal, besides yellow looks like *** anyway.
Dude, where did you get your grind cams? I heard if you add grind cams and modify the valve pipes to just above 18ohms, you'll get unbelievable performance.
Is this true?
Is this true?
