Just finished my first 3.4 V6 rebuild and I need advice from any one that has done this. I had the block and the heads done by a shop and I put the entire engine together myself. I followed the book and timed the engine as specified. Now that I have it all in, I turn the engine and all that I hear is the engine turning and once in a while a backfire. I have fuel at the rail and spark at the plugs. The engine was running before I tore it down therefore I used the crankshaft and cam position sensors that were on the operational engine. Need suggestions. Thanks
