I have an 01 z with the LS1 obviously, and I was wondering if any of you had an answer to a problem I have so here goes. Under full acceleration with the ASR turned off, when shifting from 1st to 2nd its almost as if the car is taking my throttle away unless I let out and then get right back in it, does anyone know why it would do this? Its an automatic tranny and I don't think it is slipping so much as it is just stealing my pedal and the ASR is off. Anyone know why and or how to fix what is happening?

 

when i do that to my lt1 it chirps the tires while shifting into second, when floored.

 

Yeah this breaks the tires loose then takes my throttle away from me like the ASR isn't turning off from first to second but there is no problem from second to third and eventually third to overdrive
