Default 1996 camaro 3.8 v6

im trying to help out a friend this motor is in his sand rail.
these computer cars baffle me, computer was sent to a guy in calif to remove the unwanted wires security system and ect. i checked fuel pressure and its good 50 lbs. the motormisses out both sides all the way through the rpm range, changed plug wires plugs, wires are on the right firing order.sparks plugs are black and smells like its running rich.cauld this be a coil pack or the ecm causing this.i dont know if this thing can be connected to a computer to read the codes.
this guy is pulling his hair out,
thx in advance

if your not getting proper spark could cause it to run rich. thusly the other two common reasons for misses in this car are the coil packs or the control unit that the coil packs plug into. or as stan said the o2s could be causing the richness which could cause the burnt plugs. i would check the ignition module control unit thats what happend to mine [:@]

Did this happen before or after the computer guy tuned out some items? Sure the computer guy did it right?
