Default 1995 ECM

I have a 1995 Camaro that I am going to change out the ECM on. When it comes to programing the new ECM that I will get from an auto parts store, do I have to Progam the ECM through an external computer module of can I just put the e-prom from the old ECM that I am taking out into the new one. Anyone who knows the answer?

you will need the newUPDATED proms(acdelco) and an obdII scaner, make sure u disconnect the battery before u pull the old ECM unit! the new ECM should have no problems and will not have to be flashed as long as it is OEM, and not used with the previous cars trobule codes in it. use the OBDII scaner to ck the new ECM once it has been installed!

obd II didn't come out until 96 so your car still has obd I, that probably doesn't help much though
