RE: 1991 camaro 350 tpi code 21 & 22 prob.
The TPS has 3 wires :
A -- 5 Volt reference from ECM (Gray)
B -- Sensor Ground from ECM (Black)
C -- TPS signalto ECM; 0.5 Volt @ Closed Throttle, 4.8 Volt @ WOT (Dark Blue)
The TPS appears to check out OK,
However;
1) Pull the connector and look back towards the ECM & turn key to ON. Should measure 5Volt between Gray and Black wires.
2) Replug connector. Back probe with VM between Dark Blue and Black wire. (GND probe on Black). Turn key to ON. Open and close throttle, voltage should vary with throttle anglebetween 0.5 Volt @ closed throttle, and 4.8 V @ WOT.
Possible causes:
Sticking or mis adjusted TPS
Open or short circuits between ECM & TPS
Poor electrical connections between ECM & TPS
Bad TPS
Bad ECM
Gray wire open or shorted to Gnd
Dark Blue wire open or shorted to Gnd
Black wire Open
